With just the phone in your hand, take control of 8 looping instruments that intelligently adapt to your song's chord progression, and play 3 of them with intuitive motion and touch controls that allow for expressive live playback. Use your phone's 128 available ringtone effects, or plug into any standard USB MIDI synthesizer (for instance, MainStage) to access multitudes of professional effects.
BeatScratch is best understood live. Visit the site to watch our short introductory videos or simply open up the app and start pressing stuff, paying attention to the colors, and listening to the sounds you make.
For the best experience, hook up your headphones, keyboard amp, or most MIDI keyboards/synthesizers with a USB-B to USB-C cable! We don't recommend Bluetooth headphones as their latency makes the live playback features not very fun, but you can certainly compose music without using the live playback features.
